Do the mock tests match the real exam?

Our mock tests follow the Functional Skills Level 2 format: timed, multiple-choice questions with four options and a single correct answer. Note that the real Maths exam includes both a non-calculator and a calculator section, and the English exam covers Reading, Writing and Speaking, Listening and Communicating.

Functional Skills Level 2 is reported as pass or fail rather than a grade, and the exact pass mark is set by your awarding body for each paper. On the platform you practise against a clear target score so you always know how you are progressing.

No. Functional Skills Practice prepares you for the exam. The official qualification and certificate are awarded by an Ofqual-regulated awarding body (such as Pearson Edexcel, City & Guilds or NCFE) when you sit and pass their assessment; our role is to get you exam-ready.
